Firearm Discussion Paper April 2007

The Department of Justice has released a discussion paper to provide firearms stakeholders with information regarding current issues in firearms regulation and to identify any additional issues concerning the operation of the Victorian Firearms Act 1996.

The Department of Justice hopes that this discussion paper will facilitate discussion between firearms stakeholders and the Department of Justice regarding the best means of addressing currently identified issues. Responses were to be submitted to the Justice Policy Unit by 23 April 2007.

The Guild's response on behalf of its membership to the many issues raised in this discussion paper can be downloaded below, along with the Firearms Discussion Paper itself, in PDF format.
